Smoothboard is an iPhone hack by Aaron Ash which lets you swipe to smoothly scroll through your Springboard pages.
Springboard doesn't 'lock' when scrolling. A big swipe can scroll through multiple pages instead of only one page per swipe. If you stop scrolling Springboard won't "snap" to the nearest page, it will just stay in between pages.
Ash notes that there are a few minor bugs. (like springboard snapping to the nearest page when an app is opened) but it does not hinder any functionality, and you can still move icons around just fine.
You can download Smoothboard from the Big Boss Cydia Repository.

it would be nice to have a force sensitive condition on their to allow it to snap to page. Also it would be nice if it dims the side pages, like how it transitions from search to home screen.
That's my 2 cent.
Great tweak though. Continue with the good work
and it doesn't stop panning when you try to press an app. You have to wait for it to stop panning or manually stop it from panning before you can touch and activate the app. Installed and then uninstalled. When that gets fixed I will install it again.
My 3GS locks in place to the next page and would only go to the next page no matter how hard you swipe. So I don't understand the point of this hack. It seems to help you do what my phone can already do or am I missing something.
