Apple's Huge Data Center Will Run Nuance Voice Recognition Technology?

Apple is reportedly planning to use their massive unopened data center in North Carolina to run Nuance voice recognition technology, according to TechCrunch.

We had heard that Apple might actually already be using Nuance technology in their new (but yet to be officially opened) massive data center in North Carolina. Since then, we’ve gotten multiple independent confirmations that this is indeed the case. And yes, this is said to be the keystone of a partnership that Apple is likely to announce with Nuance at WWDC next month.

TechCrunch theorizes that Apple has decided to host the technology themselves in order to obtain greater speed, prevent third party access, and build on top of the technology, improving it as they so desire.

Apple was long been rumored to be integrating features from their acquisition of Siri, a personal assistant application that relied on Nuance voice recognition, into iOS.
