Cynapse has announced the release and immediate availability of their newest version of Localscope, v1.7, an update that enables users to better discover places around them. Localscope now seamlessly integrates with the new APIv2 of Foursquare, the popular location-based social network. Now, while searching the Foursquare source in Localscope, users are presented with richer results, including phone numbers for the locations as available.

Swiping a result allows users to quickly call the place or add them to the Address Book from the detail view. The integration with the Foursquare app for iPhone allows users to quickly switch from the details of a location in Localscope to its details in the Foursquare app. Once in the Foursquare app, user can check out tips, recommendations, mayorships and deals at the location or simply check-in to the venue.

The newly added in-app browser is a great way to explore detailed information from the web about a search result found in Localscope without navigating out of the app. Tapping on the 'View more details' button for a result in Google, Bing, Foursquare, Twitter or Wikimapia, launches the in-app browser with the web view for it. No more switching between Localscope and Safari!

Localscope v1.7 has been translated in 6 new languages including Arabic, Traditional Chinese, Dutch, Greek, Russian and Swedish. With the new additions to the localizations, Localscope now totals to supporting 14 major languages covering the Americas and major parts of Europe and Asia.

Pricing and availability:
Localscope 1.7 is available for $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) exclusively on the App Store in the Navigation category. If you're interested in reviewing Localscope we'll gladly provide a promo code on request.
