The MTA has recently had to defend itself against allegations that it gave Apple overly generous terms on its lease for the store that opened December 9th. MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan says, "Consistent with the Comptroller's recommendations, the MTA moved proactively to maximize revenue and quadrupled the rent we receive for this unique space."
