The first images have surfaced of Apple's new 'Stanford 2' retail store which was revealed back in March 2012. The store features an all glass box design.
As ifoAppleStore notes, the design is completely made of glass that supports the floating roof structure. Behind the glass box is a 'stone-faced' box that 'hides' retail operations away from customers.
Most of the structural steel has been erected, and the storefront’s glass panels have been installed. The roof has not yet been put into place. These photos were taken during the week of June 3, 2013.
The photos are some of the first to show a new design trend for Apple retail stores that will reportedly be used in Portland, Oregon and Aix-en-Provence, France.
