As part of a class action law suit, Apple and Tim Cook have been sued over the recent privacy violations surrounding the NSA (PRISM specifically). Many others were also included in the suit, such as President Obama, AT&T, Google, Facebook and more.
The plaintiffs have also sued President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, NSA Director Keith Alexander, the NSA itself, the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as Facebook, Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Skype, AOL, Yahoo, PalTalk, AT&T and Sprint -- and all the CEO's of those companies personally.
These are only the first slew of lawsuits filed over the leaks that surfaced last week. Many other Senators and officials have declared they will file lawsuits as well, in hopes of taking the case all the way to the Supreme Court.

Earlier today, the director of the NSA stated that they will release the exact number of terrorists plots these programs have thwarted sometime next week.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has also filed a lawsuit, claiming the Government's tracking programs violates section 215 of the Patriot Act. However, they are not going after a specific company.
