In celebration of five years of Apple App Store, the company has created a time line filled with notable events in App Store's history. Such events include major apps, revenue generated and number of downloads.
The timeline has been sent to select members of the media and Apple has indeed created similar promotions in the past.
Earlier this year Apple celebrated 'A Decade of iTunes' in a similar fashion and actually launched a full site within the iTunes store. Perhaps this year on July 10 (Exact date of App Store anniversary) Apple will do the same.
