Sprint today announced the available of Wireless CapTel powered by Raketu for all iOS Devices. Wireless CapTel allows users to read conversations with real time, word-for-word captions on their wireless phones.
With the service, Sprint users simply dial a number like they normally would and when the call connects, that phone's display will read captions of what the other person is saying.
The application can be download from the App Store for iOS devices and is free with an Everything Data plan. Sprint also provides the service on select Android devices.

The Wireless CapTel by Sprint application marks another breakthrough by Sprint for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. The company recently marked an industry first with the Sprint Relay ID pack – a bundle of applications, links, tips, icons and widgets enabling a more robust wireless experience for those with hearing loss. The bundle includes voice mail transcripts, visual and vibrating alerts, and readable captions, all available in a single download. The bundle marks the first time a carrier has developed multiple applications in one package for those who are hard-of-hearing.
All Wireless CapTel calls are automatically routed through the captioning service, to receive calls, users must give their friends, family and other contacts a special Wireless CapTel Sprint phone number.
