Photos of an early Google smartwatch prototype made by Motorola have surfaced on AndroidPolice.

We've decided to put a few of our cards on the table and give readers a peek at the Motorola prototype that never became a real product. The device shown in the photos below reportedly existed in 2013. It has a rubber band, a square display with a sizable bezel, a rocker button on the top, a button on the left, and a capacitive back button on the front.

Motorola confirmed yesterday that it is working on a watch that will be available this year; however, it's unclear if it is continuing to work on the device that was being made for Google. It's said that Google is now working with LG on its smartwatch.
