Placed is a new app that lets you set location based app shortcuts using iBeacons.
Placed is an app quick launcher for use with Bluetooth LE Beacons. Launch apps tied to specific locations with a single swipe directly from your lock screen.
Example Uses:
• A timer app in your kitchen
• The remote app when you sit down next to your Apple TV
• A routing app when you are standing next to your wardrobe
Add your own apps using launch URLs or choose from one of the presets like Remote, Safari, Maps, Reminders, Waymate, Wunderlist, Omnifocus, Fantastical. The app notifications will show up on your lock screen when you are closer than 1m to your set up location.
Of course, to use Placed you need one or more Bluetooth LE Beacons. You also need to know their identifiers (UUID, Major ID, Minor ID).
