In addition to i0n1c and winocm, there's now a third party claiming to have jailbroken iOS 7.1.1.

Researchers Yeongjin Jang and Tielei Wang of the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC) disclosed that they jailbroke iOS 7.1.1 late last month. Jang (@blue9057), a grad student at Gatech, has posted a video to YouTube demonstrating the jailbreak.

This is what I did on iPhone 5s, with iOS 7.1.1. The work includes followings. 1. Bypassing sandbox, 2. Getting root permission, and 3. bypassing codesign

@osxreverser and @i0n1c appear to confirm it's legit.

@osxreverser: Three known private jailbreaks for 7.1.1. The "community" must be really pissed off ahahhahah this is beautiful to watch :)
@Taiki__San: @osxreverser three?
@osxreverser: @Taiki__San stefan, winocm and the chinese guy in the us

@i0n1c: I welcome @blue9057 to a world of pain

At this time we can't directly confirm the authenticity of this third jailbreak; however, given that we've already already seen two jailbreaks from solid sources, we're hopeful that at least one will become available to the public. That being said, it's likely prudent to wait until iOS 8 before releasing any jailbreak in hopes that the exploits may still apply to Apple's new operating system. Apple is expected to unveil iOS 8 at WWDC in June.

GTISC says they're planning to disclose the full details of their work in early August 2014.
