After adding NPR News Channel to iTunes Radio, Apple has gone ahead and brought over dozens of local National Public Radio stations for streaming via iOS or iTunes.
In addition to the local NPR stations, Apple has also added the ESPN Radio station to iTunes Radio. ESPN radio will stream special events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the MLB plays and much more.
Starting today, sports fans can listen to ESPN Radio talk shows and events on iTunes Radio available on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iTunes on Mac and Windows, and Apple TV. ESPN Radio is the first sports content available on iTunes Radio.
ESPN looks forward to working with Apple to bring expanded local station content to its listeners in the future. ESPN podcasts and on-demand content will continue to be available for download from the iTunes Store.
The live ESPN Radio network stream to be offered features the country’s leading national sports talk shows including Mike & Mike (Greenberg and Golic), The Herd with Colin Cowherd, SVP & Russillo (Scott Van Pelt and Ryen Russillo), The Dan LeBatard Show, Sedano & Stink (Jorge Sedano and Mark Schlereth) and The Freddie Coleman Show.

Apple has been relatively slow rolling out iTunes Radio to more countries, as it only supports the United States and Australia after nearly being rolled out for one year.
