EU Regulators to Decide on Apple-Beats Deal by July 30

While Apple has already announced they will be acquiring Beats Music and Beats Electronics, the deal is not official until regulators approve of the acquisition.

In its original press release, Apple noted it expects the deal to close in fiscal Q4, meaning all the various governing bodies should have approved of the deal by the end of September. Reuters is reporting that European Union antitrust regulators will decide by July 30 whether to clear Apple's $3 billion bid for the company.

The commision can either approve of the deal, or demand for certain conditions to be met before they approve of it. If the union sees competition issues, it can also open an investigation to further analyze the deal.

The United States must also approve of the deal before it is official as well.
