Apple's two-step verification has expanded to 48 additional countries, making the feature live in a total of 59 countries. The feature initially rolled-out back in March of 2013 for Apple IDs in the United States. Apple slowly expanded the feature to other countries, but today's expansion makes it its biggest yet.

The optional security feature lets you require verification of your identity using one of your devices before you make changes to your account, make a purchase, or get Apple support. Apple is also believed to be testing two-step verification for iCloud.com apps and services, however currently it is available for Apple IDs only.

You can view a list of all the countries where two-step verification is supported, as well as learn more about the feature here.
