Tim Cook Visits VA Palo Alto Hospital Where iPads Are Used to Help Treat Veterans

Tim Cook announced on Twitter today that he and Rep. Anna G. Eshoo met with doctors and veterans at the VA Palo Alto hospital to see how they are using iPads to help treat veterans and families.

The VA Palo Alto Health Care System consists of three inpatient facilities located at Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore, plus seven outpatient clinics in San Jose, Fremont, Capitola, Monterey, Stockton, Modesto, and Sonora. VAPAHCS operates nearly 900 beds, including three nursing homes and a 100-bed homeless domiciliary - all to serve more than 85,000 enrolled Veterans.

VAPAHCS also reported the visit saying, "Here's to keeping at the forefront of innovation! We enjoyed a visit with Tim Cook this morning during an iPad deployment to our doctors that will help create an efficient and high-tech approach to Veteran-centered care."
