iPhone 6 Launches in Australia to Massive Lines [Video]

Launch day has arrived for Apple customers in Australia and thousands queued up this morning at Apple Stores around the country. Those looking to purchase an iPhone 6 had to battle massive lines. Those looking for an iPhone 6 Plus were basically out of luck.

The HeraldSun reports that the Highpoint store sold out before 9:30 am and even those who had been in line since yesterday were unable to purchase the larger iPhone.

Xin Jin queued since 11am yesterday, but was told the iPhone 6 Plus - with a bigger screen and better camera - had already sold out. He instead bought the smaller model, but said he was disappointed.

“We were about 30 in the queue but still didn’t get one,” he said. “Others have told us that they only has eight (iPhone 6 Plus) in stock. It’s so bad - everybody is disappointed.”

A report from earlier today confirmed what was long suspected, Apple has hardly any iPhone 6 Plus supply. Pre-order units of the 5.5-inch device sold out quickly online and sources say there's "no chance" of finding an iPhone 6 Plus unit to purchase tomorrow.
