CNN Money is reporting that some Bank of America customers are getting double charged when using Apple Pay.

I was among the first people to try out Apple Pay the moment it came available on Monday. It was convenient, fast, and it seemingly worked without incident ... until I logged in and checked my debit card bill. As it turns out, I've been charged twice for every single purchase I've made with Apple Pay at various stores.

A search on Twitter reveals that other Bank of America customers are suffering the same problem. "Problems with #ApplePay - it looks like my @bankofamerica account was double charged by @Walgreens", said Ray Thompson. Other user SBUX75DEVILDOG exclaims, "i got charged twice when I used #ApplePay @WholeFoods @BofA_Help #applepaygate"

After being on the phone for several hours with both companies, reporter Samuel Burke was able to get the duplicate transactions credited back by Bank of America. Apple support was unable to assist.

"Apple's representative reminded me that for security's sake -- as promised -- Apple keeps no records of names or amounts for any of the transactions."

Although Bank of America initially insisted it wasn't their fault. The bank has now confirmed to The Huffington Post that it will refund all customers affected by the issue and cover any overdraft fees.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to correct the issue. All customers have been made whole," said Tara Burke, a spokeswoman for Bank of America. "We are always here for our customers and resolve any issues they have."

Apple has yet to comment on the situation, but given that it only seems to be affecting Bank of America, it's likely an issue with their implementation.
