Twitter App Gets Dockable Video and Audio Playback

Twitter has enabled dockable video and audio playback in its app for iOS.

The company first launched dockable audio in partnership with SoundCloud and iTunes last week. Today, TechCrunch spotted that it is now possible to dock video as well.

To use the feature, simply start playing a clip that uses Twitter's video player. You'll notice a button at the top right hand corner that can be used to minimize the video. Tap the button and the video docks at the bottom right hand corner of your screen. A small progress bar shows you how far along you far. You can tap the docked video to open it full screen again.

Eventually Twitter could expand on this feature to perhaps have a medium sized video playing which would let users watch an event and interact with tweets about it in real time.
