The number of banks that support Apple Pay is expanding today with Navy Federal, M&T, and others launching support for the mobile payment solution.

Navy Federal:
Navy Federal Credit Union announced today that its five million members now have access to Apple Pay. This new service transforms mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay. Members can use Apple Pay with the new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, Apple Watch, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

"We're excited to make this new service available to our members starting today," said Randy Hopper, vice president of credit cards and business optimization at Navy Federal. "Our members live fast-paced and mobile lives. And, they have enthusiastically adopted our mobile banking solutions. Now, with Apple Pay, they'll be able to save time when shopping while having a safe and easy payment experience."

M&T Bank:
M&T consumer credit card and M&T consumer and business debit card cardholders will be able to use their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for everyday purchases beginning today in hundreds of thousands of stores accepting contactless payments, including major stores, restaurants, fuel and convenience stores, as well as all Apple Store locations. Customers can also pay for goods and services within apps using Apple Pay on iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

"Apple Pay creates a new fast and secure way for M&T customers to pay," said Mike Shryne, senior vice president of alternative banking for M&T Bank. "We continue to see customers choose channels such as mobile to manage their finances, and the enhancements we've made since introducing mobile banking four years ago - including recently upgrading our apps and mobile banking websites - reflects our efforts to invest in technology that improves the customer experience."

Other reports suggest that USAA, US Bank, PNC Bank, Barclaycard, Regions Bank, Renasant Bank and Keesler Federal Credit Union are also working.
