Apple Scores 100% on the HRC's Corporate Equality Index for the 13th Year in a Row

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on Twitter that the company has scored 100% on the HRC's Corporate Equality Index for the 13th year in a row.

Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2015 Corporate Equality Index is the national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

There are five criteria used to score companies:
● Equal employment opportunity policy includes:
● Employment benefits
● Organizational LGBT competency
● Public commitment
● Responsible citizenship

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently came out as gay in a public essay. While many had speculated about the CEO's sexuality for some time, the essay marked the first time he had confirmed his sexual orientation.
