Following a brief test period, Apple has updated iCloud.com to let anyone, regardless of whether they own an Apple device, use Pages, Numbers, and Keynote for iCloud.
A notification banner across the top of the site can be clicked to register for a free Apple account that is needed to log into iCloud and access the iWork apps.
Please note that free accounts receive just 1GB of storage.
