U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh has granted preliminary approval to a $415 million settlement in a class action lawsuit brought against Apple, Google, Intel, and Adobe. The companies are accused of agreeing not to poach each other's employees, limiting job mobility and salaries.

Koh said the says $415 million is "substantial," particularly because the plaintiffs could receive no damages if case went to trial.

Reuters notes that the total recovery for tech worker class in no-poach case is $435 million, when combined with a previous $20 million settlement involving Disney and Intuit.

Koh had previously rejected a first attempt at a settlement which was valued at $324.5 million after a plaintiff objected. That worker is on board with the new deal.
