Apple has released a public beta of iOS 8.3, marking the first time a beta version of iOS has been available to the public.

The beta can be obtained by signing up to the Apple Beta Software Program initially used to distribute public betas of OS X Yosemite. The program has now been expanded to include iOS, presumably to help Apple clear out as many software bugs as possible before general release.

The version of iOS 8.3 that is being distributed to public testers is the same as the third beta seeded to developers today.

The iOS 8.3 Beta includes improved performance, increased stability, bug fixes, and a redesigned Emoji keyboard. This release also supports additional language and country support for Siri: English (India, New Zealand), Danish (Denmark), Dutch (Netherlands), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian (Russia), Swedish (Sweden), Thai (Thailand), Turkish (turkey). This is beta software that is still in development, which means some applications and services may not work as expected. Follow the instructions below to enroll any iOS devices to receive beta updates.

Once you've signed up for the developer program you will be asked to download a profile to your iOS device. After installed, the configuration profile allows the iOS 8.3 update to appear in Software Update.

Please note that the iOS beta software program is still rolling out. You may not see the link to iOS immediately after signup; however, you can get started at the link below.
