Apple has posted the first beta of tvOS and its SDK, as well as, a Parallax Previewer for developers to download.
tvOS beta
This is a pre-release version of tvOS for the new Apple TV only. Apple TV (3rd generation) and earlier are not supported.
tvOS SDK beta
Xcode 7.1 beta includes the tvOS SDK for developing tvOS apps for the new Apple TV. The SDK includes many of the same frameworks and technologies as iOS, such as Metal, UIKit, CloudKit, and Game Center, so you can leverage your existing code to create rich games and apps that look amazing on the new Apple TV.
Parallax Previewer
Parallax Previewer is a convenient way to preview layered app icons or layered images created for Apple TV. You can use your trackpad or mouse to animate the whole image and view the perspective. This app opens layered images created with the Parallax Exporter plug-in for Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud 2014 or later. If you don’t use Adobe Photoshop, you can also use Parallax Previewer to assemble the individual layers and export a layered image.
