Apple Music Launches in Israel

Apple Music has started rolling out across Israel a year after the service launched in over 100 countries worldwide, reports the Jerusalem Post.

New customers will be able to sign up for a three month free trial, after which the service will cost NIS 19.99 ($5.23), or NIS 29.99 ($7.84) for families of up to six.

The company touted a Mizrahi playlist featuring Eyal Golan, Moshe Peretz and Sarit Hadad, as well as an Israeli pop playlist featuring the likes of Ivri Lider, Shlomo Artzi and Marina Maximilian.

Tidal and Rdio operate in Israel but other competitors such as Spotify and Pandora have yet to launch in the country.
