Apple will reach $1 trillion in revenues from its iOS ecosystem this year, according to a report for Asymco analyst Horace Dediu.

The revenues from iOS product sales will reach $980 billion by middle of this year. In addition to hardware Apple also books iOS services revenues (including content) which have totaled more than $100 billion to date. This means that iOS will have generated over $1 trillion in revenues for Apple sometime this year.

Dediu notes that in its first ten years, the iPhone has sold at least 1.2 billion units and enabled an empire that includes the iPod touch, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV. Combined total unit sales reach about 1.75 billion units over 10 years and could top 2 billion by the end of next year.

Additionally, developers who are building apps for iOS have been paid $60 billion and the rate of payments has now reach $20 billion/yr.
