Apple has lifted the embargo on iPhone X reviews.

The iPhone X will be available for purchase in stores on November 3rd. You can pre-order the device online but Apple is still showing a shipping estimate of 5-6 weeks.

Check out a roundup of the reviews below!

Verge:
The iPhone X is clearly the best iPhone ever made. It’s thin, it’s powerful, it has ambitious ideas about what cameras on phones can be used for, and it pushes the design language of phones into a strange new place. It is a huge step forward in terms of phone hardware, and it has the notch to show for it. If you’re one of the many people who preordered this thing, I think you’ll be happy, although you’ll be going on the journey of figuring out when and how FaceID works best with everyone else.

Forbes:
This is, of course, the best iPhone yet. At the price Apple is charging, it needs to be. But it’s a highly competent phone. It looks gorgeous, so you’d be forgiven for saying it had you at hello.

But, to be clear, it’s not perfect. Battery life is improved but more would be welcome. User experience changes take time to adjust to and the longer display with its wider-than-expected bezel and the distinctive, divisive notch all distract at first. Even if both became second nature eventually. The display, despite its shape is highly attractive and the classy, glossy materials and hand-friendly shape are seductive.

Wired:
So far, the iPhone X is about what I expected. Which is to say, it's an iPhone. It has a terrific camera, a lovely design, and a beautiful screen. FaceID seems better than I expected, honestly, but still far from perfect. (I recommend choosing an easy-to-type passcode, because you'll need it a lot.) So far, other than the looks, there isn't much in the way of wildly compelling reasons to upgrade over the iPhone 8, or even the 7. But I can feel the potential here. In the front-facing camera, which clearly has power to spare and lots to offer developers. In the augmented reality apps, which don't really exist yet. Someday, this won't be a smartphone with a great camera. It'll be a camera with a keyboard, just in case you have to type things like our ancestors did. The camera is the future, and there's a lot of camera in the iPhone X.

Business Insider:
The iPhone X is a refreshing redesign. After over three years of essentially the same look, it's nice to see Apple make something radically different again.

The best part is the screen. At 5.8 inches, it's slightly larger than the iPhone 8 Plus screen, but the iPhone X's body is only a little larger than the iPhone 8. For everyone avoiding the plus-size iPhones because of their surfboard-like construction, the X will strike the perfect balance.

TechCrunch:
Overall, using the iPhone X well takes some time. It’s a big change from a physical home button to a completely swipe-based interface. But it’s fast, fluid and a lot of fun once you get used to it. Before you know it, you’ll forget you ever had to whack a home button to get things done.

There are some rough edges here and there. The notch isn’t for everyone, and the screen does have some color issues at extreme viewing angles. But overall Apple bet enormously big on a bunch of technologies all at once on the iPhone X and it delivered almost across the board. It really is like using the future of smartphones, today.

Mashable:
The iPhone X changes the iPhone experience, but for the most part those changes are for the better. I’m positive that those fearing the loss of the home button will forget about its absence 48 hours -- tops -- after buying the phone. Face ID and gestures are better, more convenient ways unlock and do basic tasks on the phone. That's progress. Even if you say, “No thanks,” to the iPhone X, this is the future, so just get ready for it.

Washington Post:
The iPhone X will know you better than any phone before it, and paves the way for the phone to act a lot more like a person. Let’s hope it’s a good one.

CNET:
I think the X is in the sweet spot that the older iPhone sizes could never perfectly be. It's a good-feeling phone with a nice, large screen. The shift to Face ID and the removal of the home button feel like changes that some might be fine with, and others will find unnecessary. I'm still learning the X's design language.

Digital Trends:
The iPhone X is the iPhone to buy this year. Even from our initial impressions, we’re certain it’s well worth the high price tag, and early adopters are going to love it.

SlashGear:
Overall, even after a short period, it’s clear that the iPhone X feels ultra-premium. Whether the $999 / $1195 (64 GB / 256GB) price tag is too much for you, well, that’s something only you yourself can determine. If you were to ask me right now whether you should go with the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or the iPhone X, I have to say my money is on the X. The additional money spent comes out to roughly one latte a month, if you’re on a payment plan. In return for sacrificing your coffee, you get that incredible display, a smaller body than the 8 Plus but without compromising on screen size, and legitimately game-changing features like TrueDepth.
