Ring has announced that the price of the Ring Video Doorbell has been dropped to $99.99 following the completion of the company's acquisition by Amazon.

Amazon’s relationship with Ring began in 2016 through the Alexa Fund. The investment allowed Ring to lean into new Alexa APIs and capabilities, and develop a new Alexa skill that allows customers to use voice to view camera feeds directly from Echo Show and Fire TV.
Following the acquisition, Ring's home security products, cameras, accessories are under the Amazon umbrella, including:
- Ring Video Doorbells, Ring Spotlight Cams, Ring Floodlight Cams, and all Ring Accessories
Amazon also offers the following security solutions from Blink, another company it recently acquired:
- Blink XT Indoor/Outdoor Camera, Blink Indoor Security Camera, and Blink Accessories
