Apple is shutting down its Texture magazine subscription app following the launch of Apple News+. Texture's last day of service is May 28, 2019.

Users who switch to Apple News+ will get a free month trial but will lose their favorites and collections. Apple is advising users who want to keep a saved story to screenshot it.

Your Texture preferences will not be carried over to your Apple News+ subscription. You can select new favorites by following channels in the News app. If you have Saved Stories in Texture that you would like to keep, you can take screenshots in the Texture app and save them to your device.

Subscribers who use Android and Kindle to read magazines are out of luck.

Apple News+ is available only on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 12.2 or later and Mac computers with macOS 10.14.4 or later. To continue reading, you’ll need a compatible Apple device.

If you signed up for Texture at a promotional rate, it will not be carried forward to Apple News+.

More details about the closure can be found at the link below.
