Google Fit for iOS Gets Updated Experience With Focus on Step Count

The Google Fit app has been updated with numerous improvements including a new focus on step count.

Many users track steps daily in Google Fit and in other apps, and it’s an important goal for them. We listened closely to our users and now both Heart Points and step count will be paired together as goals at the center of our app. This change allows users to keep track of their general movement with steps, while also knowing when to increase their intensity to earn more Heart Points. Move minutes won’t be going away though and you’ll still be able to track the time you’ve been active in the app. Whether you track steps or Move minutes, the important thing for your health is to remember to keep moving throughout the day.

What's New In This Version:
• Try the updated Google Fit experience that's designed around helping you reach your health and fitness goals!
• Easily track your Heart Points alongside your step count throughout the day
• See new and delightful celebrations when you complete your daily goals
• Check out our new bolder and brighter design
• See important information from the World Health Organization on how to reduce the risk of catching and spreading infections like the new coronavirus
