Apple has added Extended Validation certificates to the MobileMe site allowing service emails to link directly to me.com.

To help make updating account information more convenient and secure we now allow MobileMe service emails to link directly to www.me.com (but not to any specific account pages) and have added Extended Validation (EV) certificates to the site. When you receive a MobileMe notification requesting a change to your account (for example to update an outdated credit card) be sure to look for evidence of Apple's Extended Validation Certificate in your browser's address bar when you log in.

If you're using a modern browser (Safari 4, Firefox 3.6, or Internet Explorer 8) you should see the text "Apple Inc." displayed in green on either the left or righthand side of the bar. The green display of "Apple Inc." indicates that me.com has been issued an Extended Validation (EV) certificate and is a legitimate site run by Apple. For more information on EV certificates, read our support article on identifying fraudulent "phishing" emails. Meanwhile just remember to run the latest version of your browser and check for the green display of "Apple Inc." before you enter your MobileMe member name and password to ensure you are on the correct website.
