Apple is planning to release two redesigned MacBook Pros in 2021 and a new MacBook Air in 2022, according to a new report from TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The new MacBook Pros are said to feature an all-new form factor design with mini-LED displays and Apple Silicon.

TFI Securities has boosted its forecast for shipments by 250% for 2021 and 450% for 2022. They estimate Apple will ship 10-12 million mini-LED devices in 2021 and 25-28 million in 2022. The revised estimates are based on lower than expected costs for mini-LED and faster than expected adoption in MacBook devices.

Notably, Kuo says MacBooks will gain mini-LED before the iPad and see faster shipment growth. Previous reports have claimed that the iPad Pro will be the first to get mini-LED in the first quarter of 2021 and MacBook Pro would follow in second quarter of 2021.

It's predicted that MacBook Pro shipments will grow by 100% within the next three years reaching up to 35 million units per year thanks to Apple Silicon and new designs.

13-inch MacBook Air with M1 Chip - $999
