Ecobee has announced that its SmartCamera with voice control now supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video.

Starting today, the ecobee SmartCamera supports HomeKit Secure Video, enabling you to securely store activity detected by your cameras in iCloud. View live and recorded video from your SmartCamera in the Apple Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and share your Home app with others so they can view too.

To give users additional peace of mind, you can choose when your SmartCamera can stream and record video using HomeKit. In the Apple Home app, set the SmartCamera to automatically stream and record activity when you and others are away and turn off when you’re at home. The SmartCamera will also leverage Apple's iCloud service to securely encrypt and store video clips, where they will stay.

Getting Started
HomeKit Secure Video is now available for all Apple and ecobee SmartCamera users.

Get started with these simple steps:
● Install the latest firmware (version 4.6.35.32).
● Ensure your device is set up with HomeKit, if it isn’t it can be set up when registering the device.
● Or you can go to the “Home” app to add an accessory. Follow the instructions in the home app and scan the QR code on the back of the ecobee device when prompted.

Users must have an iPad, HomePod, or Apple TV in their home so that they can use HomeKit Secure Video.

You can purchase the ecobee SmartCamera for $177.10 from the link below...
