Apple is planning to launch a lite version of its AirPods Pro wireless earbuds without noise cancellation in the first half of 2021, reports TheElec.

A South Korean material supplier is currently developing a system-in-package (SiP) with Airpods’ H1 chip. The SiP used for H1 chip in the regular Airpods Pro was round shaped like a mouse. The SiP for the H1 chip in the Lite version will be a simple square shape. The supplier will go through Apple’s quality review within the year and begin mass production next year.

It's said that the lite version will be 20% cheaper than the normal AirPods Pro which would put its price at around $199.

Currently, AirPods Pro with noise cancellation are on sale for 20% off, making them $199. AirPods 2 with wireless charging case are on sale for $159.98, down from $199 and AirPods 2 with wired charging case are on sale for $124.99, down from $159.
