Early Benchmarks Indicate M1 iPad Pro is Over 50% Faster Than Predecessor

Early benchmarks indicate that the new M1 iPad Pro over is over 50% faster than its predecessor.

Results for the upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro have been spotted in the GeekBench results browser. Here are some of the first scores...

iPad 13,9
● Single-Core Score: 1727, Multi-Core Score: 7270
● Single-Core Score: 1716, Multi-Core Score: 7282
● Single-Core Score: 1713, Multi-Core Score: 7282
● Single-Core Score: 1715, Multi-Core Score: 7262

iPad 13,11
● Single-Core Score: 1719, Multi-Core Score: 7326
● Single-Core Score: 1688, Multi-Core Score: 6617
● Single-Core Score: 1636, Multi-Core Score: 6881

These average out to a Single-Core score of 1702 and a Multi-Core score of 7131. Compare that to the fourth generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro at 1121 and 4656. An improvement of 52% and 53% respectively.

The scores for the new iPad Pro nearly match those of the new MacBook Air which come in at 1701 and 7378.
