Foxconn has begun trial production of Apple's next generation iPhone 14, according to a report from UDN. Additionally, the site says Luxshare has not yet landed orders for the high-end iPhone 14 Pro and may only get orders for the basic iPhone 14.

Apple iPhone 14 has recently entered the OEM trial production operation. It is reported that the red supply chain indicator factory Luxshare has not yet obtained the new product trial production import mass production service order (NPI), and will miss the OEM with the best sales, high unit price and higher profit. For the high-end iPhone 14, this year, it may only get orders for the basic iPhone 14 and become the second supplier. Hon Hai (2317) is firmly seated as the leading iPhone OEM, and this year's iPhone 14 orders are "safe!"

Sources say Apple issues a trial production order in mid-to-late February every year. The foundry then prepares a bill of materials, determines the necessary production and testing machines, and establishes a quality monitoring process.

Once trial production begins, the foundry will collect data, correct abnormalities, evaluate the production process and products, and determine if the final product is acceptable.

The iPhone 14 Pro is expected to feature a faster processor, have 8GB of RAM, and get a hole-punch cutout and a pill-shaped cutout in place of the current notch. It will likely be unveiled in September.
