Apple has started production on a new 27-inch mini-LED display panel that could launch alongside a new Mac Pro, according to Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants.

Notably, Young says his contacts weren't aware that Apple was planning to replace the 27-inch iMac with the Mac Studio and Studio Display. So he now believes the 27-inch iMac that he'd previously been predicting is a 'Studio Display Pro'.
Our contacts weren't aware of the separation of the iMac into Mac Studio + Studio Display, especially since there is a processor and camera in the Studio Display... But the 27" MiniLED panel has started production. So, we expect it to launch in June with the Mac Pro...
It's unclear if this display would replace the Pro Display XDR or sit between it and the Studio Display. The new mini-LED monitor is said to have around 2X as many zones and over 7X more LEDs.
