Early M2 Benchmarks Reveal 20% Performance Boost

Benchmarks for Apple's new 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro have begun to surface on Geekbench ahead of its release.

In the first benchmark, the new notebook gets single-core score of 1919 and a multi-core score of 8928. That's up 12.4% in single-core performance and 20.7% in multi-core performance from the 2020 M1 MacBook Pro.



The second benchmark lists a single-core score of 1927 and a multi-core score of 8805. That's up 12.9% and 19.1% from the 2020 M1 MacBook Pro.

Apple has announced that pre-orders for the new 13-inch MacBook Pro will go live on June 17th and deliveries will begin to arrive to customers on June 24.
