Eve has announced the release of a new Eve Motion wireless motion sensor with a built-in light sensor and support for Thread, a pillar of the new Matter standard.
Use movement to control lights, appliances and entire scenes and receive notifications when something is happening in your home.
Eve Motion features IPX3 water resistance for use indoors and out. It has a 120-degree field of view spanning nine meters of range. Alongside Bluetooth, the device supports Thread. This increases the range of your smart home network when used with a HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K.
Receive notifications as soon as movement is detected. HomePod mini or Apple TV as a home hub keeps you informed while you're not at home. You decide when you want to receive notifications: anytime or only when no one is home.
A battery operated accessory like Eve Motion, represents an endpoint in your Thread network. A mains-powered device that is always on (ie Eve Energy), can act as a router node within your Thread network, relaying data packets to other devices. This results in a more stable network with greater reach.
