Apple has allegedly rejected TSMC's plan to increase chip prices next year, reports UDN. Apple is TSMC's largest customer, accounting for more than 25% of its revenue.

Originally, it was reported in the industry that TSMC would increase its price next year, and the rate would vary from 6% to 9% depending on the process. However, it was later reported that there was a negotiated revision, and the increase started from 3%, and the increase of mature process was 6%. However, the latest rumor is that Apple, a major customer, has expressed its refusal to increase prices.

Apple is known to be an aggressive negotiator when it comes to its suppliers and the company likely to secure a better price than its rivals; however, with rising inflation, even Apple will see higher costs. For now, Apple managed to keep iPhone 14 prices the same in many countries, it's unclear if that will continue to next year's models.
