MacGeneration is reporting that Apple will hold a special event on October 15th to announce new iPads and possibly Haswell Mac updates.
Google Translation: According to the latest gossip, Apple will hold a new special event on October 15. The Cupertino company will present the new iPad - as she take the opportunity to say a word about the Mac Haswell?
An October iPad event has been rumored for some time but this is the first report to nail down a specific date. You can see a gallery of photos that allegedly shows the combined front and back panel for the upcoming iPad 5 here. There's also a video that compares the iPad mini 2 rear shell to the current generation iPad mini and the alleged shell for the iPad 5.
It's likely that the release of OS X Mavericks will coincide with the release of Haswell-based Macs. Whether Apple will use the event to launch both iPads and Macs is still unclear.

I use my iPad a LOT. Far more than I thought I would. Hoping for a nice upgrade. Bigger battery would be nice - but the 4th gen iPad kills my nexus 7 all day long for battery. (Yes. There is physical size difference.)
