Apple Sells $1 Billion Worth of Apple TVs, Says It's More Difficult to Call It a Hobby These Days

At its annual shareholders meeting, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company sold more than $1 billion worth of Apple TV devices in 2013.

That's a relatively small but still significant number for sales of the $99 device. Cook said, "It's a little more difficult to call it a hobby these days."

Early today Apple launched a promotion on the device which is rumored to get an update next month.


The company has also been quite active of late in adding content channels to the Apple TV.
