Apple CEO Tim Cook is set to visit Israel next week for the inauguration of the company's new offices in Herzliya, reports Calcalist. However, his plans have yet to be finalized, says the site.

Back in 2013, Apple signed a contract to lease a large amount of office space in Bayside Land Corporation’s O2 development in Herzliya Pituach’s industrial zone. Calcalist reports that about 800 employees will work at the facility.

Apple Center in Herzliya is expected to gather 800 employees, and is spread over 17 thousand square meters in the structure of "Gev-Yam". In addition, Apple Israel is operating a development center in Haifa which includes several hundreds of employees. Development centers in Israel have become a critical asset for the global Apple at Cook's time, and is considered a major player in the landscape of purchases by local start-ups.

In addition to its research and development offices in the area, Apple has also acquired multiple Israeli companies including Anobit and PrimeSense.

During the visit, Cook is expected to meet with former President Shimon Peres, as well as senior high-tech figures in the country.
