Apple is delaying the production of a larger 12.9-inch iPad, reports Bloomberg.
Production of the 12.9-inch-screen iPad is now scheduled to start around September because of delays involving the supply of display panels, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. Apple had initially planned to begin making the larger version this quarter, people familiar those plans had said.
Apple hopes the larger tablet will reinvigorate sales of the iPad which have declined for four straight quarters. The device could also boost Apple's penetration into enterprise. The company recently partnered with IBM to develop a suite of business apps for enterprise customers.

I'd rather get a latest i7/AMD CPU, Nvidia/Radeon Vcard, 8gb RAM(upgreadable), 256-500-1TB SSD, etc. Gaming Laptop at the same/lesser price but able to customize it abit and has better longetivity/able to customize OS(may it be Mac/Linux/Win)/better productivity, gaming and alot of softwares available. etc etc.

You do realize you're making a point over a computer when this has nothing to do with laptops here. I mean it doesn't say a thing about being built like a computer thereby not a computer.

But the price of the upcoming iPad could cost $999-$1499 which is a bit too expensive running a mobile OS.

Iphone 6 plus was only $100 more than the normal sized iPhones. The price for the iPad is expected to be that price for 128gb and maybe $699 for 16gb

As long as it works like an Apple version of the Surface Pro (OS X) it will be worthwhile. Otherwise I'll definitely pass.

The 'decline in sales' of the iPad is due more to a longer replacement schedule. People use their phones every day, and want to upgrade to the latest version as it has a greater impact on their lives. For myself, I'm not about to upgrade to the newest iPad every single year, even if the faster wifi and LTE would help me use it. Instead, the media is busy lumping the consistent slow sales of Android tablets with the slower upgrade cycle of the still-popular iPads. I myself plan on purchasing a new iPad, though I'll probably late for the larger screen.

And replace the cpu while you're at it. Plus of course quadruple the ram. Otherwise you can't run OS X on an iPad just by jailbreaking it, genius!

What I meant by jailbreak it to make it act like you're running OS X like make it styled like OS X, plus you can use your iPhone as a mouse.

As long as it has a Touch ID, I don't mind. I want a bigger screen.

What makes you think it won't? Apple doesn't backtrack their past versions of iphone. Bigger iphone had touch I.D., so it for shadows the bigger ipad will get it to.
