Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Discloses $1 Billion Stake in Apple

Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway has disclosed a $1.07 billion stake in Apple. The fund owned 9,811,747 shares in the company as of March 31st, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The filing doesn't indicate if Buffet continued to buy Apple in the second quarter as other larger investors including Carl Icahn exited their position. The company's stock dropped significantly after reporting disappointing earnings at the end of April.

Apple's stock initially rose 2.2% on the news and is currently trading at about $92.00.
