Check out this iPhone 8 concept created by Benjamin Geskin for iDropNews.
The concept features a large curved display and ditches the physical home button, as rumored. The earpiece and front facing camera are still part of a narrow bezel at the top of the device.
It's widely expected that the 10th anniversary iPhone will be a massive update. It will purportedly have a chassis made of reinforced glass with a stainless steel metal frame and an edge-to-edge display that has no bezels on the top and bottom. Additionally, the front camera, Touch ID, speaker, and other sensors will apparently be embedded into the display. Another report claims that the device would be a clear piece of glass with a next-generation OLED screen. The 5.8-inch screen is said to feature a main 5.15-inch display area with a reserved 'function area' below for virtual buttons. The device may use a stacked logic board design freeing up space for a larger battery pack. More recently, Apple is said to be equipping the phone with wirelesscharging, an iris scanner or face scanner, and a 3D camera.

Don't like that mockup... Removing the Home button lowers moving pieces count and makes the iPhone more resistant, it's a good idea if well executed. Apple might as well do away with it and offer an Activator-like gesture system so we can achieve the same with any physical buttons at all. I barely touch my Home (minus Touch ID needs) button because Activator is extremely flexible and robust in its shortcuts.

Removing home button is not such a big deal because hey already did that with the 7. There's no button. It's nice if it's integrated into the screen. However, those edges are terrible. I don't like those edges. Everything else is cool. Then again, it's just my stupid opinion.

It could add extra functionality. Think touchbar on the new MacBook pros. Context aware functions.
