Input the following command for devices with the old bootrom (iPod 2G, iPhone 3GS): %homepath%DesktopPwnageredsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7redsn0w.exe -j -o -i %homepath%DesktopPwnageiPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw
**Important: remember to change the filename to the filename of the ipsw you downloaded in Step One.
Step Five RedSn0w will now open, instruct you on placing your iPhone into DFU mode if it isn't already, and boot your device.

when the redsn0w open it say's the ipsw file not recognized
and after i changed the name to a.ipsw it's opened normaly put after jailbreak nothing changed
To be more robust instead of using "%homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\..." you should also use %homedrive% as in "%homedrive%%homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\..." otherwise people whose user profile is on a different drive then their OS will have issues.
hi
when i enter the following sentince %homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7\redsn0w.exe -j -i %homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

While I do all the instructions here so please can you help me with this problem. Thanks
Is this what they call 'one click tether'? Honestly I don't understand what is the point of working on such a complicated tool, instead of this they may work on a real 1 click tool, such as 'blackra1n' which was earlier released by Geohot.
Instead of getting the untethered jailbreak update we are getting an update for quick boot! Either quick boot or regular boot, the device will boot in both ways so nothing new!
Why are old bootrom devices included here? Their jailbreaks are untethered and don't require redsn0w to boot (only to initially JB or change boot logo).
