The rumored iPad Pro may have a 2732x2048 resolution display, according to code found in the beta of iOS 9.

Earlier today, developer Steven Troughton-Smith discovered that there is a larger iPad keyboard in iOS 9 that scales up for what is likely a larger 12.9-inch iPad.

Now developer Hiraku Wang has discovered code for that keyboard which reveals a screen size of 1366x1024 that when doubled (@2x) for a retina display would give a display resolution of 2732x2048.

And from keyboard size we can know that “iPad pro” is 1366x1024 (maybe @2x)

Troughton-Smith added that this would give a 12.9-inch display a pixel density of 263ppi.

iPad Pro is 1366pt wide (so ~1006 tall)? Do the math and at 12.9" at 2X that's 263ppi, matches iPad Air…

Interestingly, the 2732x2048 resolution is exactly what DisplaySearch predicted Apple's new tablet to use back in January.

Apple is expected to unveil the larger tablet later this year. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
