Apple is expected to unveil a major iTunes overhaul at its WWDC keynote on June 13th, reports Digital Music News.

The update is believed to address complaints of 'bloatware' and a complicated interface.

Apple is hoping to vastly simplify a sprawling iTunes, including an iTunes Store stuffed with apps, movies, TV shows, music downloads, podcasts, and now, streaming service Apple Music.

The new iTunes overhaul will make more sense of iTunes music downloads and Apple Music streams.

Digital Music News also insists that Apple is considering a plan to eliminate music downloads from iTunes in as little as 2-3 years. Apple flatly denied the site's previous report on the possibility.

Sources with close knowledge of the company’s plans continue to share credible details that music downloads may be phased out in just a few years. A great deal depends on how sharply music downloads decline, how quickly streaming accelerates, and how an unstable internal political atmosphere within the company shakes out, the same sources have shared.

Apple is also expected to revamp its Music app at WWDC with a black and white user interface that features huge album artwork. You can follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
