PatchStick Still Works for AppleTV 3.0, GUI Apps Broken

Apple recently updated the AppleTV with OS 3.0. The new firmware can still be jailbroken with a Patchstick; however, GUI apps such as ATVFiles are broken, according to AwkwardTV.

GUI apps such as ATVFiles and NitoTV are broken due to the new user interface in the 3.0 release. Its likely only a matter of time before your favorite app gets updated with support for the new firmware. If you must have third party app support they you may want to hold off on updating for a bit.

Confirmed working in 3.0:
- Patchstick created with OS 2.1 works. SSH enabled. Accessing AppleTV with Cyberduck (sftp) works great.
- Patchstick created with OS 3.0 works as well.
- QuickTime components (a.k.a. codecs) work.
- Composite Colour
- AppleFileShare Server (AFP) working using afpinstall.sh and ATV-Recover image.

You can find our instructions on creating a SSH install patchstick here.
